How to prepare for a hearing How to prepare for a hearing

Serving an application means to send or to remit to the person who must defend himself or herself, a copy of the judicial procedure (e.g. a copy of the application). The Law requires that you do this.

Before being served, the procedure must have been produced or deposited (stamped) at the Régie du logement.

For more information, please take a look at our information leaflet How to serve an application.

Once your procedure has been deposited, the Régie du logement will send a notice of hearing to both parties. Please note that due to an increase in volume of the Régie’s activities, it is possible that it may take a while before you receive your notice of hearing.

On that notice of hearing, you will find the date and location of the hearing. If you want to know more about that topic, please take a look at our information leaflet How to prepare for a hearing.
